DORSEY COMMISSIONED C10

After missing out on buying the “Back in Black” C10 at the 2019 Barret-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, AZ, John Dorsey reached out to Steed Design to build a similar C10 as the BnB, but this time he wanted a Fleetside version, with paint and accents to match a Porsche in John’s collection of amazing vehicles.

The truck features Porsche Deep Grey paint, with canary yellow accents in the Wilwood Brakes, and Porterbuilt suspension components. Even the twin leather bucket seat interior carried the yellow theme through the interior of this custom build.

A 5.3 LS1 FI engine with a mild Comp Cam, performance intake and stainless-steel headers, with a drive-by-wire throttle body, mated to a performance built 4L60e Transmission driving a custom 12-bolt differential with 5-lug axles and positraction. The stance utilizes a 5/3 drop creating a practical, yet stylish profile. Burnt Black stained Oak bedwood with a bedside fill Boyd’s fuel cell.

This machine features all the modern touches, Vintage Airconditioning, Power Steering, Power Wilwood 6-piston brakes on all 4 corners, classic analog-appearing Dolphin Digital Gauges, LED lighting, iPlay Media Center featuring hands free phone, and back up camera, along with a Pioneer/Rockford-Fosgate stereo system with a 300 watt Subwoofer.

John got it all; a classic C10 Fleetside with all the modern comforts and head turning styling. This build took less than a year to complete the frame-off nut and bolt restoration.
